Once considered an industry niche, telehealth entered the mainstream during the COVID-19 pandemic.

For the last 5 years, SPARCC (the Strong, Prosperous, And Resilient Communities Challenge) has been investing in the local efforts of six regions to ensure equitable and healthy opportunities in the places people of color live, work and play.

Over the past seven years, CityHealth, an initiative of the deBeaumont Foundation and Kaiser Permanente, has worked with city leaders in the nation’s 40 largest cities to adopt evidence-based policy solutions that ensure all people have access to healthy choices.

The dual pandemics of racism and COVID-19 have underscored the urgency of effectively responding to trauma and promoting resiliency in pediatric primary care. Since 2017, CCHE has contributed to learning in the field by evaluating programs that support health care organizations in adopting practices to be more healing-centered, including screening and responding to adverse childhood experiences.

In our work, we see both the recognition that collaboration is essential and also a desire for greater understanding of what it takes to work effectively together.

Change happens when communities come together and partner to identify and implement solutions that fit for their community. SPARCC has always been about building relationships and connections, and that shows up in effective collaborations in its six sites.

CCHE is devising new ways to find the interventions that most benefit community health and how best to measure them.
